What One Believes Matters
Do you know what Oprah believes about God and Jesus Christ? As Christians we should know what any person of influence in our lives believe about God. Ms. Winfrey is one of the most influential women in the world. Untold women and men are touched by her daily television program and her Production Company (Harpo). David Taylor sent me this youtube link where Oprah discusses her beliefs with her audience and others. It is worth listening to. Check out Oprah to hear what she believes. Be sure the volume is not muted on your computer. If you have dial up service rather than DSL you may not want to follow the link. Ms. Winfrey is entitled to her beliefs and I will fight for those rights. She has some remarkable qualities - she is dead wrong about God. I am not suggesting she be blacklisted; just know that her spiritual beliefs are not aligned with God's Word

The Courier Herald has started a new feature that asks readers to submit information about what they have learned in Sunday School or church from the previous week. They are asking for submissions of 50 words or less that can be emailed to cporter@courier-herald.com.
I think this is a perfect opportunity to share something inspirational with others about Jesus in a time where saying anything positive about Christianity is frowned upon in most media outlets and the nation as a whole. But, if they do not get much response, I'm afraid they will discontinue with this feature. There haven't been many submissions thus far. So, please try to send something in, today if you can, because they will put some of the responses in each Wednesday's edition. You can include your name and church if you want or you can remain anonymous.
